Hello, I’m Chy, I am a proud queer woman and the owner of Better Days Tattoos. My pronouns are she/her. I have nearly a decade of experience in the industry and although my journey began as a traditional color artist, over time, I found myself captivated by the depth and intensity of solid black ink. Today, my work is rooted in heavy blackwork, floral compositions, abstract elements, and Neo-traditional styles. I am passionate about balancing bold contrasts with delicate nuances, creating a harmony between masculine and feminine energies. I draw inspiration from the beauty found in the “in-between” moments of life. This philosophy influences my designs and artistic approach not only within my personal style, but also in my professional approach while working with my clients.

My specialty lies in cover-ups and blackouts, where I skillfully use heavy skin breaks to allow each design to breathe and flow seamlessly with the body’s natural contours. I am dedicated to transforming old tattoos into renewed works of art, bringing fresh life to the canvas of the skin. My primary focus is on you, the client, utilizing my expertise and experience to bring your vision to life.

Beyond the studio, I am a lover of life’s finer details. I find joy in reading, writing, and painting, continuously exploring new creative avenues. I’ve been happily married for nine years and am a proud dog mom to three adorable pups who have been my companions for nearly a decade. When I’m not creating, I love spending time outdoors, especially kayaking during the summer months and traveling. I value time with my family and friends, and I am deeply invested in personal growth, social studies, mental health awareness, and philosophy.

At my core, my mission is to inspire others to see beyond themselves and embrace the world with an open heart. I am passionate about fostering community and uplifting those around me. Though I may come across as a bit rough around the edges, I am truly a soft-hearted soul. My exterior may be bold, but my spirit is gentle and welcoming.
